Joon H. Han, MS, DDS, FACP
Board Certified Prosthodontist
Dr. Han received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Chemistry and Music. He later completed a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
While in dental school, he was awarded the Howard Kubuki Award for Superior Clinical Performance. Dr. Han completed three years of post-graduate dental specialty education in Prosthodontics at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. During his residency, Dr. Han presented his case studies at the Nobel Biocare World Conference in 2005, at the International Congress of Oral Implantology in 2007 and at the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics in 2007. Dr. Han is an active member of the professional community.
Dr. Han is a board certified prosthodontist and has completed a four part written and oral examination given by the American Board of Prosthodontics. It is the highest achievement a prosthodontist can attain. Currently, there are 41 Board Certified prosthodontists in Illinois.
Due to their advanced training, prosthodontists are experts in coordinating treatment with other dental specialists such as oral surgeons, periodontists, endodontists and orthodontists to provide the highest quality of care to their patients. Due to the extensive level of specialist training, prosthodontists have increased capabilities to provide superior results with implants, veneers, crowns, bridges, dentures and all cosmetic and restorative procedures.
