Our Sedation Dentistry Options

With our in-office sedation capabilities, dental anxiety needn’t be an issue for you. Please note that you’ll be unable to safely drive a car while under some of these forms of anesthesia and will need to have another responsible party take you to and from your appointment.

Oral sedation

Oral Sedation

Oral sedation is a moderate form of anesthesia that we may use for treatments of limited complexity. With oral sedation, you ingest a pill prior to the start of your treatment. During the procedure you’ll remain relaxed and anxiety-free.

IV Sedation

IV Sedation

We have an in-house professional certified to administer IV sedation for our patients. Sometimes called “sleep sedation,” IV sedation is a moderate type of anesthesia that we introduce into your system via an IV line. After it’s administered, you’ll quickly achieve a relaxed state resembling sleep. You won’t have any sensation or awareness during treatment and you’re not likely to remember any part of it afterward. We use IV sedation when appropriate to the complexity of your treatment, such as full mouth dental implant placement.

General Anesthesia

General Anesthesia

Reserved for use during the most complex dental and medical procedures exclusively, general anesthesia is a potent combination of medications that renders you completely unconscious for the duration of your treatment. When needed, we can provide general sedation for procedures here in our office with the assistance of a highly trained and trusted certified professional.
